Harmon Kardon is known for its powerful and clear sound quality in its speakers and has taken that reputation to expand its product lineup with devices for every room and living space. The Harmon Kardon Citation series pairs the company’s standout audio quality with creative acoustic design.
The Citation Series includes the Citation 200, a speaker that features a rechargeable battery with eight hours of playtime, a charging base, and IPX4 splash-proof protection. While a powerful speaker, it is not quite as impressive as the Citation Oasis. The Oasis is a multipurpose compact speaker that packs an alarm clock, wireless phone charging capabilities, music streaming, and a host of other features into a slim form factor. The Oasis can enable a “Sleep Mode” option that shuts off Wi-Fi during sleeping hours to rid you of disruptive notifications.
Harmon Kardon also introduced the Citation Multibeam 700, a compact soundbar with a color LCD display. The Multibeam technology creates impressive sound quality and utilizes seven speakers for an immersive surround sound experience. It’s smaller size makes it ideal for homes where space is at a premium. Don’t let the small size fool you, though. Pair the Citation Multibeam 700 with the Citation Sub S and you’ll get a home theater experience on par with much larger devices. The Citation Sub S is a wireless, small form factor subwoofer powered by WiSA technology. this allows it to provide a low latency experience in any home theater.
Aside from the continued high performance of Harmon Kardon devices, the company has also stepped up its design. The speakers are covered with a dirt-repellent and flame-retardant wool fabric that helps keep them clean, and there are several new color choices to help match the speakers to any aesthetic within the home.
Harmon Kardon speakers have Google Assistant built-in, but the company has also added Chromecast and Apple AirPlay capabilities to enable users to stream their favorite music from a variety of sources.
The Harmon Kardon 200 is $300, while the Oasis is $200. The Multibeam 700 is $700 and its matching subwoofer is $400. All of these new devices will be available at Harmon Kardon in spring 2020.
