Prime Day deal deadlines have been set by Amazon for sellers

It’s looking very likely that Prime Day 2021 will be returning to its usual mid-July slot with news that companies can now submit their deals if they wish to take part. Keen sellers have until April 23 to submit Lightning deals and until May 28 to submit Prime Member Voucher deals.

Prime Day is traditionally held during the first or second week of July each year to mark Amazon’s birthday. However, in 2020, the huge sales event was delayed until October due to the COVID-19 pandemic which disrupted almost everything across the world. The news that deal submissions are being taken now strongly suggests that Amazon is back on track to provide its two-day sales event at the usual time of year.

If you’re a keen seller, the deadline for submitting Lightning deals for the event is Friday, April 23. Alternatively, if you want to submit an entry for a Prime Member Voucher discount then you have until Friday, May 28. In both cases, sellers are strongly encouraged to submit their promotions as soon as possible for a chance to actually have the deal considered for the event. After all, almost everyone wants to be part of Amazon’s Prime Day event and not all sellers will manage to make the cut.

To submit a Lightning Deal, sellers should head to their deals dashboard, create a new deal, and click on Lightning Deals followed by Prime Day Week on the item they wish to submit. The Prime Day Lightning deal needs to be at least 20% or $50 less than the current site price to be eligible. It also needs to match or beat the lowest price of the year, have a strong sales history, 3.5+ star rating, and utilize an image that matches the Amazon style guide.

Prime Member Vouchers can be added by creating a new voucher and scheduling it on the placeholder dates provided by Amazon to qualify for Prime Day Voucher date adjustment.

Consumers should expect a huge two-day sales event from Prime Day 2021 sometime in July as the company is sure to be keen to beat its record-breaking totals from Prime Day 2020. As always, expect big discounts on the latest products ranging from TVs, laptops, and fitness wearables to more inexpensive items like games, Blu-rays, and much, much more. Extensive discounts on Amazon-based products are all but guaranteed too.

The Boys season 3 to debut on Amazon Prime Video in June
Anthony Starr in The Boys.

Despite relatively short seasons for The Boys, Amazon Prime Video's flagship superhero series sat out  2021. However, Prime Video's new, super-short teaser reveals that The Boys season 3 will finally arrive in June. And if the new footage is any indication, Anthony Starr's Homelander is about to snap.

Warning: Spoilers ahead! Homelander may look like an all-American hero, but he has the heart of a villain. Last season, Homelander was in a relationship with the almost equally sadistic Stormfront, a literal Nazi. Homelander also took great joy in tormenting Billy Butcher with the knowledge that his wife, Becca Butcher, gave birth to Homelander's son, Ryan. But in the season 2 finale, Stormfront fatally injured Becca, and Ryan used his emerging superpowers to severely maim Stormfront. Homelander was subsequently blackmailed into letting Billy and Ryan leave. And that defeat may be why Homelander's smile for the cameras is no longer convincing.

In 2018, Netflix, DreamWorks Animation, and Mattel Studios reintroduced She-Ra in the animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. But now, there's a new take on She-Ra in development at Amazon Prime Video. And for the first time, the fan-favorite warrior may be coming to a live-action show.

Variety broke the story about the She-Ra live-action series, although the project is still in a very early stage. No creative team has been put in place yet, but DreamWorks Animation will executive produce the potential series. While DreamWorks Animation also produced Princesses of Power, this will not be an adaptation of that show. Instead, Variety's source said that it would be a new story that is separate from everything that came before it.
