Alpine ICE has loads of wattage and space for cans with a price to match

Here’s a speaker/cooler combo for serious outdoor parties. The PWD-CB1 Alpine In-Cooler Entertainment (ICE) “lifestyle activities” dual purpose scene-setter is set for living loud outdoors, as reported by The Verge.

As The Verge mentions, no weight is listed for the Alpine ICE on the manufacturer’s site, so figure it’s heavy. Once you load it up with the Grizzly-based body to its full 14-gallon, 72 12-ounce can capacity, this isn’t a cooler you’ll be moving around much.

Don’t worry about stocking up on AA or D-cell batteries, this party player gets plugged into your vehicle’s 12-volt auxiliary power outlet via a 16-foot cable. If the ICE sucks too much power from your vehicle’s battery you’ll be alerted so you can start up and recharge the battery. You can also plug it into any other 12-volt 15-amp capable power source such as a Goal Zero Yeti 400 Solar Generator.

You can plug your music source into the ICE’s AUX-in jack or, better yet, connect within 30 feet with a Bluetooth wireless audio device.

As the company website says, “Looking for loud? Alpine ICE has you covered.” Two 90-watt amplifiers power a pair of 5.25-inch high dynamic range woofers, each over a 4-inch x 8-inch bass radiator. Two 1-inch high output tweeters hit the high notes.

Whether you take the Alpine ICE tailgating, camping, or just stopping in a field to fill the air with sound, this cooler has your back. Alpine says the “Bluetooth audio connection and deceptively powerful speaker system are engineered and tuned to create a deep impact and fill any space with incredibly rich, intoxicating sound …” And if that doesn’t do it for you, there’s always the 72 cans in the cooler.

All this capacity comes at an equally ample $1,500 price. If you add a Goal Zero Yeti 400 for $460, you’ll land at around $2,000 for this powerful portable party setup.
