Christmas is upon us, and although there’s a lot of heartfelt sentiment around the biggest holiday of the year, it also means something more material: gifting (!). If you’re using Cyber Week deals to start getting gifts, that’s great — but most buys are usually too large to fit in a stocking (just try to fit one of these Cyber Week Alienware deals in a sock!), and the prices can be way off.

How much should you spend on stocking stuffers? What is “allowed”? We rounded up a list of the best gifts to buy on Cyber Week for your stocking-stuffing needs — all of which are tiny treasures that will undoubtedly be well-received and, in some cases, will generate a fun laugh.

How to choose a stocking stuffer on Cyber Week

Stocking stuffers are meant to be small, fun gifts, so you don’t want to get anything too pricey. And, it’s annoying if the stocking is too small for the stuff, so be sure to look at the entrance hole and make sure that your items can fit inside.

Also, remember that stocking stuffers aren’t meant to overshadow the big day, Christmas. That means the gifts can be silly or fun but don’t necessarily need to be things that are truly going to “Wow” the recipient. Aiming for the understated is actually advised here, not discouraged.

At the end of the day, this is a “snack” and not a meal.

How we chose these Cyber Week stocking stuffer deals

Believe it or not, there is a theme to all of the items above! They are all at least somewhat adjacent to products or things we talk about here regularly.

Whether it is video games or the best coffee makersDigital Trends has a long history of talking about more than just the latest electronic product, as we know that those things that help us get through a day working on the best business laptops (coffee!) are just as important as the tech items themselves. In other words, these are items that we think you’ll have some sort of affinity with.

Also, we made sure that the items were small and affordable. From the very first edition of this list, there were items here ranging from just a hair over $1 to around $40.

Google’s Dreambeans app is now available to all eligible Google accounts in the U.S. on Android and iOS. The wider rollout comes three months after the Google Labs experiment first launched for AI Ultra subscribers.

For those unaware, Dreambeans creates a small collection of personalized stories (similar to Instagram stories) each day based on information from Google services selected by the user. Google had already started removing the subscription requirement in August, and the latest expansion completes that rollout for everyone aged 18 and older in the U.S.

Theft prevention system can be exploited to block your new phone or disable home alarms
home-security-system

The system built to stop stolen phones from working could actually be turned against you. Michigan State University researchers just found six security flaws in the lost and stolen device reporting process, the same one carriers use to blacklist phones by their unique IMEI number.

Turns out an attacker doesn't need to steal your phone to block it. They just need to exploit weak identity checks in how carriers verify who's filing the report.

iPhone Duo vs. Galaxy Z Fold 8: Apple prioritizes software polish; Samsung leads with engineering experience
One hides the crease, the other hides in your pocket.
iPhone Duo and galaxy z fold 8

Apple’s first foldable, the iPhone Duo, is one of the best first-generation foldables I’ve seen in a while, though that’s also because almost every other major smartphone manufacturer has one and Apple is exceptionally late to the party. Arriving roughly two months after the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, the Duo, through no fault of its own, competes directly with the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Given that the phones share a similar design philosophy and price bracket, you’re bound to ask which one is the better pick between the two. In this comparison, I’ve tried to break that down, focusing on the practical aspects that shape your day-to-day experience with foldables rather than the spec sheet. Take a look at the hardware differences below, then dive into the real-world differences.
