What’s happened? The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 15, for its home market.
- The OnePlus 15 is set to debut in China on October 27, 2025, the company confirms in a post on Weibo. Alongside the flagship, the company will also unveil the OnePlus Ace 6.
- Available in three colors — Original Sand Dune, Absolute Black, and Mist Purple — the flagship abandons the circular camera island on the back for a square-shaped module housing a triple-camera sensor.

Why is this important? We’re currently in the flagship launch season, which kicked off with the Pixel 10 in August, followed by the iPhone 17 series in September. Now, Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, and OnePlus are revealing their latest-generation smartphones with top-tier hardware.
- The OnePlus 15 will be the company’s first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3nm) processor.
- It will also boast a 1.5K OLED display that supports a refresh rate of up to 165Hz (another first for the company).
- Finally, the device is confirmed to pack a massive 7,000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Why should I care? OnePlus flagships typically launch globally — including in the United States — and the OnePlus 15 should be no exception.
- Last year, the company released the OnePlus 13 in global markets just over two months after its Chinese debut.
- The base OnePlus 13 (12GB + 256GB) launched at $899.99, competing directly with flagships from Samsung, Google, and Apple.
- This year, however, the phone could be available internationally as soon as November 13, 2025, according to a report by 91Mobiles.

OK, what’s next? The OnePlus 15 should either cost the same (or slightly more) than its predecessor, though the global pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, OnePlus has already unveiled OxygenOS 16 (based on Android 16), the user interface that will power its upcoming flagship and other supported devices.
