Released Friday, Adobe’s Photoshop Express is free and available for Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 devices.
As you’d expect with a company that knows a thing or do about image manipulation, Adobe’s mobile software offers a ton of options to beautify your images, enabling you to turn a disappointing shot into something that’ll have friends asking, “What app did you edit that with?”
Tweaking features galore
All the tweaking features you’d expect are present, including contrast, exposure, highlights, shadows, temperature, sharpen, and more besides. Got better things to do than spend time moving sliders back and forth? Then simply hit the auto-enhance button to see what Adobe comes up with instead.
Of course, you can also crop, rotate, flip, and remove red-eye from your images, with all of these features easily accessible from Photoshop Express’s main screen.
These days, no photo app worth its salt would dare omit Instagram-like filters from its offering, and Photoshop Express is no different. Twenty-two ‘Looks’ filters offer plenty of ways to significantly transform your image with a single tap. If you want 20 more, a $2.99 in-app purchase gives you access to its ‘Premium looks’ library.
When you’re happy with your masterpiece, hit the top right button to bring up a ton of sharing options, which include Revel, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram, which, incidentally, is still in beta for Windows Phone.
It’s taken a while for Adobe to roll out Photoshop Express for Windows Phone, but for many smartphone shooters looking for a versatile and powerful image editing app for their Windows Phone device, it’s likely to have been worth the wait.
