What’s happened? A major leak from Evan Blass has revealed what appears to be Samsung‘s final specs for its upcoming tri-fold device that was unveiled a couple of weeks ago. According to Blass, the device will be called “Galaxy Z TriFold.”

Some confirmed details:
Final, retail branding: Galaxy Z TriFold.
Displays: 6.5″ cover and 10.0″ inner
Peak brightness: 2600 and 1600 nits, respectively
Thickness of the leaves varies: 3.9/4.0/4.2mm
Main camera: 200MP
Rated battery capacity: 5437mAh
Powered by SD

— Evan Blass (@evleaks) November 13, 2025
  • The device is said to feature a 6.5-inch cover display and a 10.0-inch inner display, consistent with previous thin-design reports.
  • Samsung is pushing peak brightness levels of 2600 nits and 1600 nits respectively, for outdoor use.
  • The chassis folds into three “leaves” with varying thickness measurements, listed as 3.9 mm/ 4.0 mm/ 4.2 mm.
  • Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to host a 200 MP main camera alongside a 5,437 mAh battery and a Snapdragon chipset.

This is important because: Samsung’s TriFold phone signals the next evolution in foldable devices, moving beyond dual-fold screens into a full three-panel “book-tablet” form factor.

  • The combination of a large 10-inch inner display and ultra-thin folded profile positions the TriFold as a hybrid between phone and tablet.
  • The 200 MP sensor and high peak brightness displays underscore Samsung’s intent to compete at the highest end of the market.
  • With a larger than usual battery, Samsung appears to be balancing slimness with sufficient power for multiple displays.

Why should I care? If Samsung succeeds, the TriFold could redefine what a premium mobile device looks like in 2025.

  • Users might get both a traditional phone experience and a full-sized tablet experience in one product.
  • But success hinges on real-world durability, hinge reliability, and software optimisation across the triple-panel layout.
  • The thickness variance among the leaves is also unusual and may affect durability or folding behaviour.

OK, what’s next? Samsung has not yet announced a launch, but multiple leaks, like the Bluetooth SIG clearance of Galaxy Z TriFold, hint that it might arrive soon.

The next three months will define the future of the smartphone market across the globe. As three of the most important handset makers gear up to unveil the next generation of foldables and flagships, the memory crisis is worsening with each passing quarter, pushing up phone prices across every segment.

We have Samsung going live on July 22, 2026, with its latest foldables, followed by Apple’s new CEO, John Ternus, revealing the iPhone 18 Pro and the first foldable iPhone in September (like they do every year). However, the middle month — August — is when Google finally hosts its “Made by Google” launch event, a hardware-focused event that will unveil the Pixel 11 series.
