Nikon cuts prices of Coolpix cameras

Nikon announced new, lower prices on five of its most popular Coolpix (www.nikoncoolpix.com) digital cameras. These include the Nikon Coolpix 2100 and 3100, Coolpix 4300, Coolpix 5400 and Coolpix5700. In addition, Nikon also announced brand new consumer rebates on its three leading Coolscan desktop film scanners – the Super Coolscan 8000 ED, Super Coolscan 4000 ED and the Coolscan IV ED.With new pricing, Nikon now offers a Coolpix digital camera for photographers of all skill levels and needs.

The Nikon Coolpix 2100, now $199, and 3100, now $299, are both among the top in their respective categories. The Nikon Coolpix 2100 is a compact 2-megapixel digital camera, designed for the novice photographer and great for new moms and families. The award-winning Nikon Coolpix 3100, a 3-megapixel digital camera, is a constant favorite among reviewers and consumers alike. Both cameras have been named “Editor’s Picks” by numerous top-tier publications for their ease-of-use and features, which include a 3x Optical Zoom-Nikkor lens and Nikon’s clever new Scene Assist function to help almost anyone become a better photographer.

Nikon is also offering lower prices to more advanced customers who purchase the Nikon Coolpix 5400 or 5700. Nikon also recently announced new pricing for the award-winning Nikon CoolpixÃ’ 4300 digital camera, bringing the MSRP to $399. The 4-megapixel digital camera, with a 3x Optical Zoom-Nikkor lens, is ideal for families and travelers.

Digital cameras aren’t the only products seeing price drops this Fall. Nikon will also be offering huge savings on their entire line of Coolscan desktop film scanners — $500 mail-in rebate on the Super Coolscan 8000 ED and $200 mail-in rebate on both the Super Coolscan 4000 ED and the Coolscan IV ED. The Super Coolscan 8000 ED is a multi-film format scanner that offers the high dynamic range and resolution. The Super Coolscan 4000 ED uses the most advanced hardware and software technology available for producing large volume scans with unmatched image quality. The Coolscan IV ED is a high-speed desktop film scanner that offers 35mm SLR camera owners the ability to scan, enhance, catalogue, preserve and restore images from positive and negative film.
