Digital Trends Announces New Vice President of Sales, Expansion of Sales Efforts

Digital Trends is proud to announce the appointment of a new Vice President of Sales, Sean Cullinane, formerly Vice President of National Sales at CBS Interactive’s CNET Networks. With this new hire, Digital Trends is now poised to solidify its sales position as the leading technology lifestyle resource online.  Digital Trends has grown exponentially year over year, and the site has recently partnered with leading brands including Yahoo, Sams Club and Fox News.

Cullinane’s new role will focus on providing daily oversight for strategic partnerships and business development initiatives – building out an expanded sales program to target the site’s affluent and mainstream audience. Having led CNET’s sales efforts for the past nine years, Cullinane brings with him a wealth of knowledge and passion for innovation that has become synonymous with his success.  In addition to guiding Digital Trends’ transition into direct selling, Cullinane plans to leverage his 14 years of media experience to reposition the Digital Trends sales team as both an industry leader and established advertising force in the online tech media space.

“Sean Cullinane is uniquely qualified to bring Digital Trend’s into its next phase of strategic sales efforts” said Ian Bell, CEO and Publisher of Digital Trends. “His background and experience is the perfect fit for our site, and we are looking forward to seeing his leadership and passion in action.”

“As a member of site’s core audience, I appreciate the unique point of view that Digital Trends brings to tech media, putting performance and style on an equal footing and making tech more accessible to everyone.” said Cullinane.

Cullinane’s prior positions also include account management roles at RollingStone.com and Ziff Davis, Inc. where Cullinane cultivated a keen ability for uncovering potential and a natural eye for developing talent.
