PORTLAND, Ore., Mar. 30, 2020 — Digital Trends, the premiere Millennial-focused tech publisher, continues its expansion by hiring Paul Squire as News Editor. Squire brings experience as News Editor at the New York Post, where he helped lead digital news coverage.
Despite the need for social distancing and self-quarantine during the global COVID19 pandemic, Digital Trends continues to operate as a remote workforce, and grow as a company.
Squire will be working remotely from New York City, and will join Digital Trends’ New York office after the pandemic has passed. He got his start in local news. At Digital Trends, he’ll track breaking news so editorial can be more responsive to moment-by-moment developments, while also providing some experienced editing muscle during peak news times.
“I’m thrilled to be bringing my experience to Digital Trends,” says Squire. “I’m excited to keep my finger on the pulse of everything that’s happening in tech and can’t wait to help expand our already impressive news team.”
This new hire continues the expansion of Digital Trends’ editorial department, only a month after onboarding new writing staff as well as Gaming Editor Lisa Marie Segarra. Digital Trends also recently hired their first Head of People, and in 2018 hosted a sweep of C-level hires. Digital Trends has grown to reach 30 million unique monthly readers, making it the world’s largest independent tech publisher.
