Lenovo Yoga 5G is the worlds’ first 5G PC powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon

The buzz has been building around 5G, but 2020 is the year that 5G technology will scale globally. Lenovo is ready, presenting the World’s first 5G PC, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Compute Platform, raising 5G capabilities to a whole other level. In a discussion with Pavi Dinamani, reporting for Digital Trends, Matt Bereda, VP of Global Marketing for Lenovo, and Don McGuire, VP of Global Product Marketing for Qualcomm, we learn what this means for you.

The new Lenovo Yoga 5G is the worlds’ first 5G PC, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Compute Platform. It acts like a smart phone – always on and connected, plus it’s ultra-thin and able to convert 360 degrees, so it can be used in tablet mode or in tent, and the screen adjusts automatically. The Lenovo Yoga 5G features up to 24 hours battery life thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Compute Platform, Qualcomm Adreno 680 graphics and user facing Dolby Atmos stereo speakers.

Yoga 5G is Lenovo’s premium line of products and this ultra slim, convertible, effortlessly efficient, ground-breaking device exceeds their premium category, sure to make a big splash in the marketplace. Lenovo Yoga 5G has addressed all the known PC pain points, adding lightning fast download speeds and constant connectivity, so every time you launch it you have all your notifications hot and ready to go. And as 5G coverage multiplies by 10x in 2020, both in the US and globally, this is a perfectly timed release.

McGuire says their goal is to build products for people when people are ready – matching user experience and needs with capabilities and benefits, so Lenovo worked with Qualcomm and Telco providers to launch this innovative and secure solution. Designed primarily with the productivity-driven, mobile on-the-go consumer in mind – it’s hot and ready, and your data is secured by the Telco network, because your privacy is very important. Lenovo and Qualcomm are reinventing the PC category, setting the Lenovo Yoga 5G above every other device on the market – no one has had an always-connected PC experience till now. This life changing PC for mobile productivity will be available in North America this Spring for $1499, with other pricing around the globe.
