If you’re looking for the most powerful Apple iPad Pro out there at a great price, we’ve got a great deal for you. Right now, Amazon has slashed $100 off the new Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch, bringing it down to $999. It’s a great price cut on an already high-end device. In our iPad Pro review, we examined the slightly smaller 11-inch model but the consensus was still the same — this is the best version of the best tablet you can buy right now. That’s thanks to its amazing screen, comfortable design, great performance, and convenient operating system in the form of iPadOS.

We broke things down a little further by checking out which was best between the Apple iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 12.9-inch, and mostly found them to be pretty similar in quality, with the Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch winning out due to its superior and bigger screen. If you’re going to go for the high-end iPad solution, it makes sense to go big and enjoy the full benefit of that slightly larger screen.

That screen we’re raving about is an edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display with ProMotion, True Tone and P3 wide color technology. It looks a delight and is backed up by an A12Z Bionic chip with Neural Engine. There’s also 256GB of storage, a 12MP wide camera, 10MP Ultra Wide camera, and a LiDAR scanner for any time you want to take photos. A 7MP TrueDepth front camera is useful for video calls, too.

The Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch has everything you could want from a high-end tablet right down to support for the Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard Folio, and Apple Pencil, so you can soup up what you can do with it.

Normally priced at $1,099, the Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch is currently enjoying a nearly 10% price cut, bringing it down to $999. This is an ideal time to upgrade your tablet experience, ensuring you’ve got a powerful slate with you wherever you go.

Amazon's new tablets have an idea that other Androids should copy
Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro pen

I did not expect Amazon to be the company that made me reconsider what an Android tablet should actually be. The company's Fire tablets have been quite the opposite of what you'd expect from an Android experience. Despite running on the Android OS, they ran a fork of Android, which pushed users toward Amazon’s own apps and services, and famously shipped without the Google Play Store.

That's not to say they were entirely terrible. In our review of the Fire Max 11, we praised it for its hardware package and overall value. Though its sparse app selection was also one of the biggest things holding it back. Installing Google Play yourself made the tablet dramatically more useful.

Amazon Alexa tablet On Screen Intelligence

Amazon has launched three new Alexa Tablets, starting at $229.99, and they look like solid devices with aluminum builds and sharp displays. That said, hardware isn't what got me interested. The feature I keep thinking about is On-Screen Intelligence, which gives Alexa the ability to understand what's open on your tablet and help with it.

Why does this matter?

Picking the right tablet for your kid usually means choosing between something too childish or something with zero guardrails. This is why Amazon is launching a new pair of Kids Tablets designed around different ages, giving parents more control while giving children a fuller Android tablet experience.

The Amazon Kids Tablet 8.7-inch is aimed at children ages 3 and up. The 11-inch model is designed for kids ages 6 and up. Both run Android and include kid-proof cases, a one-year Amazon Kids+ subscription, and parent-managed Google Play access.
