The annual techfest called CES is fast approaching, but this year it’ll be nothing like the past: For 2021, the show will be held virtually in January, powered by Teams and Microsoft’s collaboration software. That means no show floor to explore, no booths filled with OLED screens to gawk at, and no late nights roaming the casinos and bars on the Las Vegas strip. But there will still be hundreds, or even thousands, of companies showing off countless new products and innovations – and as always, Digital Trends will sort through them, picking the best of the best for our acclaimed Top Tech of CES Awards.
We’ve been planning an innovative new approach to the virtual CES that promises to turn this virtual event into the most exciting few days of the year, packed with gadgets, deep dives, and even holograms, because hey, it’s 2021.
Since we can’t stroll the corridors of the Las Vegas Convention Center physically, we need YOUR help! What sort of products are you showing off? What innovation has your company devised that will shape the future? How have you taken an old category, turned it on its ear, and packaged it up into the most interesting new device since Steve left NeXT?
Tell us all about it! Please fill out the form below to let our editorial team know what you plan to show off at CES, tell us why it’s so fantastic, and nominate your company to be a part of our Top Tech of CES Awards. Past winners have included wild innovations such as brain-controlled prosthetic arms and plant-based meats, as well as Chromebooks, computer chips, electric cars, and more. Will your innovation be next on the list?
Our awards will cover the seven key areas of coverage on Digital Trends, in addition to a Best in Show award to the most interesting piece of tech at CES:
- Automotive
- Computing
- Gaming
- Home Theater
- Smart Home
- Mobile
- Entertainment
In addition to our awards, we’ll feature our first-ever Reader’s Choice awards, and we’ll unveil a new award to celebrate the products, people, and brands that are using technology for its highest purpose: To change the world. It’s a concept we call Tech for Change, and we’ll need your help to identify worthy candidates!
Rules and eligibility
For a product to be eligible for inclusion, our editors will need to see and it use no later than December 31. Please, contact us early and make arrangements to share a sample where possible! If early samples will not be available, we can arrange for virtual screenings. Eligible products MUST be shown off at CES.
To be considered for the Digital Trends Top Tech of CES awards, products must be aimed at regular folks (not businesses) and be formally shown off at CES 2021. Products will be judged both on the innovative technology they bring forth and how that tech can enhance people’s lives in new ways. Multiple entries will be accepted, although we encourage you to submit only the products you feel are truly best-in-class. Digital Trends will honor embargoes and NDAs.
Winners will be revealed on Wednesday, January 13.
