The traditional Wii remote has lacked the accuracy and motion-sensitive precision that some of the new games demand. In response, Nintendo launched Wii MotionPlus last year as an attachment to the standard controller which addressed the issue.

Unfortunately, the Wii MotionPlus served as a bulky attachment required for game play. The news of the Wii Remote Plus may mean the Wii MotionPlus has been built into the new remote. That’s great news for Wii gamers that will now have a more nimble remote.

A product listing on game retailer Gamestop’s website indicates that Nintendo has a new controller coming out. The displayed box art for an upcoming Wii game, FlingSmash, notes that a new controller comes with the game. FlingSmash is scheduled for release in November.

Nintendo has confirmed the controller’s existence to Eurogamer since the story broke. However, Gamestop has since removed its listing for FlingSmash.
