Adidas, the world’s second largest athletic company unveiled it’s initial “barefoot” training shoe, the Adipure Trainer . The new trainer is Adidas’ first foray into the burgeoning minimalist shoe market and has been in development for some time.
The theory behind barefoot shoes suggests that running, walking and exercising barefoot is seemingly better for the feet, producing far less impact and stress compared to those in traditional shoes. Adidas’s new trainer is designed to mimic exercising barefoot and science backing the technology claims that this in turn causes less injury, promotes optimal muscle development and is overall better for the health of your feet.
The Adipure, which will arrive in stores in November is set to retail around $90
