BioShock jumps from under-the-sea to riding the air in BioShock Infinite. The floating city of Columbia is collapsing on itself and former Pinkerton agent, Booker DeWitt, is sent in to rescue a woman named Elizabeth. While it’s not a direct sequel to the previous BioShock’s it does have similar gameplay and concepts.
You’ll see a bit of gameplay in this video (most likely from scenes you’ve seen before) but it’s more about exploring the character dynamics of Booker and Liz. They’re voiced by Troy Baker and Courtnee Draper. You might recognize Baker as Two Face in Batman: Arkham City and from Resistance 2 as Richard Blake. He’s done a lot of video game voice work. Draper is a little bit more unknown but she was in Buffy as Annabelle in the episode “Bring on the Night”, so some fans might recognize her from that.
Part of Ken Levine’s goal for Infinite was to make the characters more dynamic so that players would be sucked in to the story as much by the characters as the world.
Look for BioShock Infinite in 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
