Canon’s PowerShot N aims to serve Generation Instagram

We chatted with Canon U.S.A.’s Ben Thomas to find out how this unique product came about and what type of buyer they envision using this product.

Check out our review of the Canon PowerShot N point and shoot camera.

Canon’s new PowerShot N is a bit of a departure from the company’s other point-and-shoot models. Built for a younger generation who require their content to be available for instant sharing, the N has built-in Wi-Fi to connect to an Android or iOS smart device (which serves as a bridge for uploading images and videos to a social networking site). Design-wise, it’s nothing like a traditional camera. The shutter and zoom controls are located around the 8x optical zoom lens, while most of the camera’s other controls are handled through the 2.8-inch tilting touch-capable LCD.
