EA has been steadily increasing its free-to-play and web browser gaming presence with some of their more popular franchises. They’ve done it with Ultima, Dragon Age, Need for Speed, Age of Empires (that’s been pulled since), and now they’re adding the RTS Command & Conquer to the list.
C&C has been floating under the Generals label for the last few years, so it’s kind of nice to see EA bring back one of their more popular C&C series in the Tiberium tales. Who doesn’t miss playing as the GDI or the Brotherhood of Nod?
If you’ve played any of EA’s browser games then Tiberium Alliances won’t be much of a surprise. It comes across as a mix of slow RTS and a Facebook game.
If you’re interested you can head over to EA and try playing it now.
