‘B’ movie fans should get a kick out of the new documentary Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel from Alex Stapleton. It’s as much a recollection of how Corman got his start with his first movie Monsters From the Ocean Floor to his fame as a ‘B’ movie director and producer with such famous titles like Little Shop of Horrors.
If you didn’t know, he’s been steadily producing and directing films since the 1970s. If you look on his IMDB page you’ll see that Corman has almost 400 titles listed under his producer credit and 56 films with him listed as a director.
The documentary has made its way around the film festival circuit and won some awards at Sundance. Look for it on December 16 when it comes out on limited release.
