Peter Molyneux already revealed Fable: The Journey last year during E3 but he’s since left Lionshead Studios and it was somewhat unclear what direction the game would take after the industry legend left. The latest trailer may help shed some light on that question.
Fable: The Journey is part of Microsoft’s plan to put another big Kinect push into effect this year, and will more than likely be one of the jewels of that effort. It will be told through a first-person viewpoint, with various gesture controls that allow players to use magic, fight, and ride horses, among other things. We don’t have any more details at the moment, so we can’t say if The Journey will have the RPG elements and the usual good and evil character tropes that the Fable universe is known for.
Fable: The Journey is slated for a holiday 2012 release, which means that it could launch anywhere between the end of October and before December 25. Like previous Fable games, though, it will be exclusive to the Xbox 360.
