South Park is jumping into the game world once again with South Park: The Stick of Truth. This one finds the crew of Cartman, Kyle, Kenny, and Stan in an epic quest to become cool as they battle across South Park against everything from Vampire kids to sixth graders.
Continuing Microsoft’s recent trend of front-loading releases with Xbox 360 exclusive content, The Stick of Truth will come with a number of exclusive Xbox pre-order packs. One is the “Good Times with Weapons” pack which offers up destructive items inspired by the South Park episode, “Ninja Alter Egos.” These items include the Bulrog Chicken Attack, which summons the ninja powers of Bulrog and turns enemies into chickens. Or the use of Cartman’s Kick-Ass Sai that uses the fiery sting of the Sai to slash through South Park. It also comes with a Samurai costume featuring a “super-sweet cape” and cardboard armor.
The other pack of note is the “Mysterion Superhero” Pack. It comes with Mysterion’s costume, a special attack and the Dagger of Cthulhu. Xbox 360 owners will also be getting the first three downloadable episodes packs before PC and PS3 owners.
Finally, like many recent Xbox games, The Stick of Truth will come with Kinect support. According to THQ, you cna taunt enemies, launch attacks or call Cartman a “fat ass” which he’s supposed to respond too.
South Park: The Stick of Truth will be available next year on March 5 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
