Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is an upcoming movie with Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock based on a 2005 by Jonathan Safran Foer.
The story follows nine-year-old Oskar Schnell who is an intellectually curious and sensitive child of Manhattan progressive parents (Hanks and Bullock). Schnell is a pacifist, vegan, musician, jewelry designer, astrophysicist, and an inventor (this is how the kid is described on IMDB, the wiki entry, and several other places). Anyway, his father dies during the 9/11. Two years later the boy finds a key that his father left in a vase of his before he died. It sets him off on a journey to find out what the key belongs too.
