Game of Thrones is getting turned into an RPG by Cyanide Studios. George R.R. Martin’s popular fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire, is the basis for the game. Players will journey across Westeros as two different players. One is a member of the Night’s Watch and a Red Priest.
One of those areas is Riverspring which isn’t exactly a known location in Martin’s universe. The town of Riverspring is a commodity that is reeling after its lord passed away. Cyanide seems to be trying to ape the style and tone of the HBO television show based on Martin’s work. According to the developer there should be about 30 hours of gameplay.
Game of Thrones will be on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2012, there is no specific release date set at this time.
