Juan Pujol was a Spanish spy during World War II who worked for both Nazi Germany and the British. Ultimately, his decision to give misinformation to the Germans about the D-Day invasion helped turned the tide of the war in the favor of the Allies.
Garbo the Spy details Pujol’s elaborate ruses to fool the Germans and the British. The film was originally produced in 2009 and made its ways around various European film circuits but its only just now making its way to the US.
The film will see a limited release on November 18.
