If you’ve been following the Game Developer Conference coverage this year you may have noticed that publisher Paradox Interactive has brought a lot of fresh PC games to conference this year. We’ve already shown three trailers for upcoming games and now we’ve got a new one.
This one is for the multiplayer team-based melee combat game War of the Roses. The game is set in the years between 1455 and 1485 when England exploded into a war for the throne of the country between the houses of York and Lancaster.
There is supposed to be a single player campaign but the focus seems to be on large-scale multiplayer battles. Players will progress their soldier gaining upgrades and content in the rise from filthy peasant to “unstoppable armored killing machine.”
At the moment War of the Roses does not have a release date yet but it should be out in the second half of 2012.
