Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is all about the teamwork, everything in the game is geared towards player cooperation. Players won’t be micromanaging squads as they did in previous Ghost Recon titles, but the elements of squad-based teamwork are still present and vital.
The multiplayer is no different. As we broke down in our hands-on preview, to survive the multiplayer you need to work as a team. To that end, Ubisoft put out this video with creative art directer Tommy Jacob offering tips and tricks on how to be a better teammate.
Two of the multiplayer modes feature 6 on 6 gameplay with opposing teams battling it out to complete various objectives. The other two are more team-based co-op modes with players facing AI enemies. One is the Guerilla mode which is more commonly called “Horde mode” in other titles with players trying to survive waves of enemies. The other is the 4-player co-op mode for the campaign.
If you’re curious for a taste, there is a multiplayer-beta going on right now. To get in you’ll either need to pre-order the game or have played Splinter Cell: Conviction on Xbox 360. Playstation 3 owners get access if they’ve subscribed to Playstation Plus.
However, if you want to wait for the full game, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier hits store shelves on May 22 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
