Khodorkovsky is a documentary about Mikhail Khodorkovsky. He was a former socialist who used the collapse of the Soviet Union to become a full-fledged capitalist. The documentary also recounts the turn of events that made him one of the world’s more famous political prisoners in the early part of the 2000s.
Cyril Tuschi managed to get the first on-camera interview with Khodorkovsky since he got arrested. He uses in-depth interviews, archived materials and computer-animated reenactments of various events. One of the themes of the film is to showcase the paradox that is post-Soviet Russia.
At the moment the film only has a New York release from Wednesday of this week. Keep an eye out for this one.
