Marvel and the relatively new studio Gazillion Entertainment have teamed up to bring about the free-to-play MMO action RPG, Marvel Heroes, to PCs. The game is being created by David Brevik who was originally behind Blizzard’s Diablo.
Players get to collect and play as several Marvel heroes to stop Doctor Doom from devastating the world with the Cosmic Cube. There 12 different heroes to choose from, including: The Thing, Hulk, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Black Widow, Deadpool, Cyclops, Captain America, Cable, Wolverine, and Thor. There are some customizing options with players allowed to upgrade their heroes with new costumes, gear, and powers.
The world-spanning story was crafted by comic-scribe Brian Michael Bendis, who you might recognize as the writer behind Ultimate Spider-Man and Powers.
We don’t know when the game will be out to play, but it will be PC only.
