The team behind the soon-to-be-released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 explores a couple of new multiplayer modes and the connections to the new Call of Duty Elite in this trailer.
The two new modes that they discuss are “Kill Confirmed” and “Team Defender”. KC is similar to Team Deathmatch except that kills don’t automatically go towards your team’s score. Every player gets dog tags and you have to pick up those dog tags to count the kill. Or you can pick up your fallen team members’ dog tags to deny a kill. Defender is similar to capture the flag. The first player killed in the game drops a flag. Your team has to pick up the flag and the team who holds on to the flag the longest.
They’ve also finally added user generated modes. This means that players can specify what type of game they play. For example, turn off perks or make it a pistols only game. This seems like a long overdue mode.
The video also briefly shows off a couple of the maps that players will see in the multiplayer section. Some of them connect to the single player campaign and others are just new.
Modern Warfare 3 comes out in a week on Tuesday November 8, 2011 for PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3.
