We’ve had a lot of fun and spent a lot of time tearing up the mountains in EA’s revamped SSX, so much so that it’s actually somewhat surprising that the game has only been out for a month and a half. That isn’t stopping EA from releasing some DLC for the game though.
SSX gets tricky with its first DLC pack featuring classic tracks, returning characters, and a mountain inspired by the popular SSX: Tricky which made its bones on the PlayStation 2. Mt. Eddie won’t be a strict remake of any of the classic tracks from Tricky, but based on the above trailer it does appear to have a Tricky-ish tone and feel to it. While the mountains in SSX aren’t strictly real, they are based off of real satellite imagery, so Mt. Eddie might be a bit of a shock to series newcomers that haven’t played the previous SSX games.
EA hasn’t released any details on who the returning characters will be or what classic tracks you’ll get, but we do know that they’ll be from SSX: Tricky and SSX 3. We do have the pricing though. Mt. Eddie and the Classic Characters Bundle will set you back $5.99 a piece or you can get both for $7.99. No word on what the translation is for Xbox 360 MS points. Mt. Eddie comes with the music and the Characters bundle, and features several costumes for each character as well as seven new boards.
