This one kind of slipped by us during the deluge of Video Game Awards show trailers that popped up over the weekend. And to be honest, if you aren’t really excited for another Tony Hawk game after the last few terrible iterations, we wouldn’t be surprised.
If you were interested in a Tony Hawk update, though, then this trailer might be for you. Activision is going back to the originals and taking select levels from Tony Hawk’s 1 & 2 to update to high definition.
Classics like School and Downhill will be available and the level in the trailer is Warehouse. These and more will be available for digital download in the first half of 2012 on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
No word on whether or not the soundtracks from the original games will be in the remake. Also, no, you won’t need one of those skateboard peripherals from Tony Hawk: Ride, the game will be back to controller form.
