How to Choose Google Pixel Products on Prime Day

Luckily, while Google has products in a lot of different categories, the choices are pretty straightforward if you know what you’re looking for. Take the Google Pixel Watches, as an example; the latest version is the Pixel Watch 3, but that’s likely to be expensive given it released pretty recently. So, going for the Pixel Watch 2 might make more sense if you want to save some extra cash.

When it comes to phones, most folks will either want the Pixel 9 or the Pixel 8 lineup, which are some of the best phones on the market, and that includes the Pro and Fold versions, which is a little bit confusing since the second Pixel Fold is called the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The option that probably gives you the best performance vs. cost is the Pixel 8a, although if you can find a good deal on the Pixel 8 Pro, then you’ll have a pretty excellent experience too.

Google tablets are more straightforward since there is only one Google Pixel tablet, but if you want a tablet, you may want to consider an alternative since our mobile section editor, Joe Marin, found that “Google gave that concept a fair shot, but its execution with the Google Pixel Tablet completely misses the mark.”

Luckily, Google makes some of the best wireless earbuds, with the latest and most pricey being the Pixel Buds Pro 2, but if you want the best from Google, these are it. The Pixel Buds A‑Series are the budget-oriented offering from Google, so if you don’t need the best, that’s an option.

How We Chose These Google Pixel Prime Day deals

Prime Day tends to be one of the best days when it comes to electronics, which means that pretty much the whole Google Pixel lineup is going to get some form of deal or discount over the course of the sales period. That makes it relatively straightforward when it comes to picking the best deals to share with you since we can focus on the best Pixel products rather than look for cheaper alternatives. That said, we still heavily emphasize balancing cost vs. performance and specs so that when you buy something, you’re getting the best bang for your buck on a product you’ll hopefully enjoy for many years to come.

We achieve that through our own experience as reviewers and deal hunters, as well as with the help of additional tools we may need to compare historical pricing and other similar statistics. So, whatever deal you find on here, you should feel comfortable knowing it’s the best.

Google may have accidentally leaked a new fitness tracker with a display
Google may have leaked its own mystery Fitbit in a Pixel 11 ad
Google

Google may have accidentally revealed a fitness tracker that it has not announced yet. New Pixel 11 advertisements appearing on YouTube show a small, screen-equipped wearable that does not appear to be the Pixel Watch 5 or the Fitbit Air, raising questions about whether Google is preparing another fitness device.

The ads were spotted by Reddit users over the past day and appear to promote the refreshed Pixel lineup. One advertisement shows Pixel 11 phones alongside a Pixel Watch 5, while another features several Google devices in matching green colors. Both ads also include the mystery tracker. Multiple advertisements showing the same device have been spotted, with at least two users reportedly seeing it.

Apple has added several new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro configurations to its Certified Refurbished Store, alongside more iPhone 16 Plus models and Apple Watches.

The MacBook Air additions arrive at a particularly useful time. New M5 MacBook Air models are currently running in short supply across Apple’s retail network, with some configurations facing delivery estimates stretching into late August or September. Apple also raised MacBook Air prices in June, so students shopping before the new school year are being asked to spend more while potentially waiting longer to get one.
