Lorex® 2K Wireless NVR System Video surveillance system with 1TB NVR and four battery-operated QHD cameras

Overview: The Lorex 2K NVR System (L42481-4AA4-E) features a 6-channel Network Video Recorder (NVR) and four battery-operated 2K Outdoor Wire-free cameras. One or two additional cameras can be added to the system. The NVR is equipped with a 1 TB HDD for storing the video locally, so there are no monthly fees for cloud storage. The 2K NVR system can be configured and controlled by the Lorex Cirrus app, available for iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.

2K Wire-free Cameras: The four included 2K Spotlight Outdoor Battery Security Cameras (Model U424AA-E) are wire-free and can be placed nearly anywhere. Features of the camera include:

• Video: The cameras have a 4MP 1/3" CMOS image sensor that produces 2K (2560 x 1440) 16:9 HD video with Wide Dynamic Range. It has automatic white balance and gain control, and 3D noise reduction for optimum picture quality.
• Lens: The camera has a 2.6mm fixed focal length, F1.8 lens. Its field of view is 140° diagonal, 120° horizontal, and 65° vertical.
• Spotlight: A bright LED spotlight on the camera illuminates your property. The spotlights can be turned on or off manually, or activated automatically when motion is detected to deter intruders.
• Night Vision: The camera is equipped with high powered Infrared LEDs (850mm) to enable the camera to record video in the dark or low light conditions. The camera will record color video in as little as 0.05 lux (with Auto Gain Control on), and in black-and-white in total darkness (0 lux) with the IR LEDs on.
• Two-way Audio: The camera features a microphone and a speaker that enable two-way communication. With the Lorex Cirrus app, you can talk to and listen to the person on the camera.
• Siren: The camera has an extra level of deterrence with a remote-triggered 110dB siren. The siren can be manually triggered from the Lorex Cirrus app to scare away uninvited visitors.
• Wi-Fi: The 2K Wire-free Camera is compatible with Wi-Fi protocol over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. A 3" Wi-Fi antenna is included for improved Wi-Fi signal.
• Motion Detection: The 2K Spotlight Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera offers Motion Detection to alert you when there's activity outside your home. In the Lorex Cirrus app, you can access the Motion Detection settings: Sensitivity (level 1-8), Detection Type (motion or person detection), Motion Zone (can be defined to areas you want covered), Distance (lower the distance if triggered by unwanted events), and Siren Duration (up to 60 seconds or Off).
• Mounting: The camera can be mounted outdoors on a wall or ceiling with the included bracket. It is recommended that the camera is mounted at least 7 feet above the ground. The bracket features a swiveling mount that lets you aim the camera where you want and lock it down. It can be installed in a wide variety of places and conditions. The camera has an IP66 weather-resistance rating, and can withstand a variety of weather conditions and temperatures. It can operate in a temperature range of -4°F to +122°F (-20°C to 50°C).
• Battery Powered: The 2K Wire-free Camera is powered by a removable rechargeable two-cell battery (ACBATTR2). The battery charges in approximately 6 hours via the included USB power adapter and cable. Battery life will vary, depending on number of events, settings, and ambient temperature. An optional Solar Panel is available from Lorex for keeping the battery charged. A wired power adapter is also available. The battery can be upgraded to a three-cell battery (ACBATTR3, available directly from Lorex), for longer battery life.

Network Video Recorder (NVR): Anchoring the L42481 Wire-Free security system is the 6-channel 2K Network Video Recorder. Features of the NVR include:

• System: The NVR can record up to 6 separate video feeds from Wi-Fi connected U424AA cameras. It has an embedded Linux operating system. An optical mouse is included for operating the NVR and configuring the system settings.
• On-Screen Display: The system's on-screen display lets you navigate menus and configure options and settings. The taskbar along the bottom of the screen lets you access the main menu and controls basic functions of the recorder.
• Recording: The NVR records up to 4 MP (2560 x 1440) video with H.265+, H.265, or H.264 video compression. Recordings are triggered by Motion Detection or Person Detection. You can define the Motion Detection settings for each individual camera in the system menu. You can also set up a recording schedule for each camera to record only during specific hours. If you choose to record video continuously, you will need to power each camera with a wired powered adapter (ACPWF1, available from Lorex).
• Storage: Recorded video is stored on the NVR's installed 1 TB, 2.5" SATA HDD. Depending upon the settings, the 1 TB SATA HDD can record up to 1 year of video. By default, the HDD is set to overwrite automatically, deleting the oldest footage when storage is full. You can also select a number of days or hours the system should retain data (up to 90 days). You can backup video from the HDD onto a USB flash drive or a USB-connected HDD in a Lorex-specific format or in universal MP4 format.
• Playback: The NVR lets you play back one channel in full screen or multiple channels at a time in a grid configuration. Playback functions include Play, Pause, Stop, Fast Forward (2x, 4x, 8x), Fast Backward (2x, 4x, 8x), Slow Forward (1/2x, 1/4x, 1/8x), Step forward, and Step backward.
• Video Output: Video is output through the provided HDMI port or via USB to a TV or computer monitor. The video output resolution can be set to 3840 x 2160, 2560 x 1440, 1920 x 1080, 1280 x 720, or 1280 x 1024. A 1-meter HDMI cable is included.
• Ethernet: The NVR connects to your router via Ethernet. The Ethernet protocol is 8P8C 10/100 Base-T. A 1-meter Ethernet cable is included.
• Email Notifications: You can configure the system to send email notifications about important activity from the security system. Up to 3 email addresses can be enabled to receive notifications.
• Power: The NVR runs on DC power (12V / 2A) supplied by the included AC adapter.

Lorex Cirrus App: The Lorex Cirrus app gives you easy access to your connected cameras and recordings on your Lorex Wire-Free Security Camera System. When your cameras detect motion, you will receive an instant motion alert notification on your smartphone, allowing you to view the live video on your device. Live video from multiple cameras can be viewed on the app. Using the app, you can see and respond to a person at your door or on your property using two-way talk. The app lets you configure advanced motion detection functions, motion zones, and system settings. The app keeps track of all system alerts on a timeline. The Lorex Cirrus app is compatible with Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with iOS 11.0 or later. It also works with a Mac with macOS 11.0 or later and Apple M1 chip or later. The app is also compatible with Android devices running version 5.0 and up.

VMS Client: You can connect to the security system over the internet using VMS Client software for PC or Mac. From the software, you cn view live video from the cameras, play back recorded video from the hard driver, manually record videos or save snapshots to your computer's hard drive, and access the menu for configuring the system remotely.

Voice Assistants: The Lorex 2K NVR system can be linked with Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant. Smart displays, such as the Google Nest Hub or the Amazon Echo Show, will show you the view from your cameras with a voice command. You can also monitor your security camera footage on a larger screen with Chromecast or Firestick.
