Finland’s Nokia, known for releasing an average of nearly two new mobile handsets a month during a typical year, has introduced a collection of new handsets at the company’s Nokia Connection 2006 conference in Singapore.
With one hand, Nokia is promising “3g for everyone” with new phones (including a new inexpensive 3G handset) while on the other hand Nokia’s rolling improved cameras and Bluetooth connectivity typically found in high-end gadgets into new mid-range phones to satisfy consumer demand.
The traditionally-designed (and by this, Nokia means “candybar”) Nokia 6151 GSM phone will support streaming also and video content (including support for over-the-air media services), offer a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, built-in music player, microSD memory expansion, push-to-talk capability, and 30 MB of user memory.
