Oregon Scientific wants to be sure you can share your rad moves, best ride, and worst wipeouts with all your friends—both in the real world and on YouTube— from a first-person point of view with its new ATC2K action camera.

The ATC2K is a small, battery powered camera which captures video to an integrated SD card slot at VGA resolution and 30 frame per second. Weighing less than a pound with batteries, the ATC2K comes with mounting hardware for bikes, skateboards, helmets, cars, ATVs, and more&dash;and it can shoot video in up to three meters of water for as long as the 2 AA batteries keep it running.

“We’ve been working hard to get the design, functionality and performance of ATC2K up to demands of the action sports and outdoor enthusiast crowd,” said Bill Uzell, Oregon Scientific executive VP. “We learned with our ATC-1000 that hands-free action cams are not just for kids, they’re for kids of any age and can be used in a wide assortment of scenarios. The ATC2K comes with USB and RCA cables for “instant gratification” playback on televisions or video devices, and the unit’s 32 MB of internal memory and up to 2 GB of SD storage mean users can shoot nearly two hours of uncompressed video—by which time extreme sports enthusiasts trying to capture themselves performing their favorite stunt will either have succeeded…or be on the way to the hospital. (But, upside! They can document their ambulance ride!) The ATC2K is Mac and PC compatible, and is available for just $129.99.
