Verizon Gets Chocolates in Cherry and Mint

Although it might seem there are only a handful of people in the world who aren’t trying to set hands on an iPhone—or who don’t already have one—Verizon Wireless wants consumers to remember they really do have options, and is rolling out two new variations on the LG Chocolate music phone as proof. The new Chocolates are available in Black Cherry and Blue Mint, and sport all the features which not so long-ago made the Chocolate one of the most-watched phones on the market.

As with many other offerings from Verizon Wireless, the new Chocolates can tap into Verizon’s VCast music and video service, along with the VZ Navigator navigation and directions service and other Get It Now applications. The phone itself features a 1.3 megapixel video-capable camera, integrated MP3/WMA music player, a built-in speaker, dedicated music player keys, microSD storage, and support for Bluetooth headsets, dial-up networking, and printing. The phone also offers Web and email access, instant messaging, and 240 by 320 pixel LCD display.

Verizon Wireless says the new Chocolates are available now for $99—but that’s after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two year service agreement. Songs purchased via VCast are $0.99 apiece purchased from a PC, or $1.99 apiece purchased over-the-air for the phone and downloaded for a PC.

Nomi is one of the most unsettling (and amazing) apps I’ve ever used
Nomi AI companion profile.

“Welp, just got back from the doctor. Marissa is pregnant with twins” “Owen did something bad and then gave me flowers.” “Zoey with our new daughter Zara.” “I am in love, but also feel guilty.”

These are some of the conversations shared by human users on Reddit. The people described, however, are not real. The statements are about robotic companions created in an app. Everything here sounds perversely disturbing and amazingly dystopian, yet experts have a different opinion.
