The political presence on the late night talk show circuit is heating up, as presidential candidate and former First Lady Hillary Clinton has confirmed to appear on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, reports Variety.

This will mark Clinton’s first appearance on a late night talk show since she announced her run for president, as well as her inaugural visit to the hallowed talk show. She is scheduled to appear on Wednesday, September 16.

Fallon also recently interviewed high-profile Governor of New Jersey and presidential candidate Chris Christie, and also will host everybody’s favorite political blowhard Donald Trump, lined up to appear later this week (September 11) to help kick off the new season.

It seems over the next two weeks, presidential candidates will be doing the full late night rounds, with Jeb Bush also tapped to appear on the first episode of Late Night with Stephen Colbert this week, followed up by Bernie Sanders on September 18.

Late night talk shows are definitely a hot venue for presidential candidates to attempt to reach a younger segment of the voting public, and chat in a more casual manner, potentially showing off their softer sides with a bit of self-defacing humor. Nabbing high-profile guests that viewers can’t help but be drawn to is a smart move for the competing shows, which will be going head-to-head in the coveted premium late night talk show hour with a new generation of younger hosts. Clinton’s appearance will be going up against Kevin Spacey, Carol Burnett, and comedians Abbi Jacobson and Illana Glazer, who are scheduled to appear on Colbert’s show that same evening.

The 2016 election will mark Clinton’s second run for the Democratic nomination, after falling to Obama leading up to the 2008 election. In addition to her tenure as First Lady, Clinton also served as the 67th U.S. Secretary of State from 2009-2013, and, from 2001-2009, as United States Senator for New York.

The cast of That Thing You Do!

The first weekend in May has arrived, and Hulu fans should be happy to hear that there's a new lineup of movies to enjoy. Like most of the major streamers, Hulu debuts the majority of its library additions on the first of the month. But there will more movies released on Hulu throughout May.

Since the first weekend of May is traditionally timed around the opening of a superhero movie, our first choice this weekend is a comic book film that's celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Our other two picks include Tom Hanks' directorial debut, and a generation-spanning drama that holds up three decades after its release.
The Mask (1994)
