Stevie Wonder tries to take the wheel in Carpool Karaoke with James Corden

James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke is quickly becoming one of the biggest viral sensations in late night. And his latest edition, featuring iconic singer Stevie Wonder, will have fans laughing – and singing – once again.

The 11-minute video begins with Corden worriedly talking to someone out of view in the driver’s seat of his car from the passenger side, asking if they’re OK to drive. The camera pans, and we see Stevie Wonder behind the wheel, assuring Cordon that he’s good to go, Scent of a Woman style.

After the low-hanging joke, the two switch places and hit the streets where Corden sings along with Wonder (who even brought along his harmonica for musical accompaniment) to hits like Isn’t She Lovely, Superstition, Sir Duke, and Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.

But, hands down, the best part is when Wonder calls Corden’s wife Julia to prove to her that the singer is, in fact, in the car. Corden, who has made the skit a regular appearance on The Late Late Show, is on the verge of tears as Wonder sings to her “I Just Called To Say, James Loves You.”

While there’s not as much back and forth dialogue between the two as we’ve seen in other Carpool Karaoke editions, such as the very revealing edition with Rod Stewart, the pair do discuss forming their own band called Wondercats. And Wonder has a bit of a laugh imitating Corden’s British accent, along with making a few FaceTime calls, including one to his wife to verify that it is, indeed, Corden in the car with him.

The skit is definitely worth a look – and keep a watchful eye out for a passing vehicle with a pretty serious camera setup to capture the moment. Paparazzi, anyone?
