Bradley Cooper does his best to stand the heat in official trailer for Burnt

The first full-length trailer for Burnt debuted way back in August, and it struck a pretty serious tone for a film being billed as a comedy. Released yesterday, the official trailer for the film whips up a bit more levity — it also manages to squeeze two different Star Wars references into the space of two minutes. Impressive, most impressive.

As we quickly learn, Super-Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) is either the Luke Skywalker or the Darth Vader of cooking, depending on whom you ask … or what mood he happens to be in. The mercurial culinary prodigy is as reckless and abrasive as he is talented and charming, and we can see that his self-destructive streak is his biggest roadblock on the path to professional renown.

While both provide a healthy helping of mouth-watering food porn, this is a more impressive trailer than the first. By combining equal measures of comedy, drama, and sexual tension, the spot makes for a tantalizing appetizer to the main course, which will arrive hot from the kitchen on Oct. 23.

Annnnd now we’re hungry. Damn food metaphors.

The film also stars Sienna Miller (American Sniper), Omar Sy (Intouchables), and Uma Thurman. Check out the official synopsis below:

Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all — and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). Burnt is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.

While we’re not totally sold, this latest trailer has us intrigued. The film seems to have all the right ingredients but — as any chef worth his/her salt knows — it’s the way the ingredients come together that makes or breaks a dish.

Spotify has removed more than half a million streams from Malcolm Todd’s song “Earrings” after finding suspected bot activity, according to a report by Financial Times.

The track, first released in 2024, suddenly rose to No. 1 on Spotify’s daily U.S. chart after a sharp jump in streams. At the same time, traders on prediction market Kalshi had been betting on whether Todd would land a No. 1 song on Spotify USA before the end of June. There is no suggestion Todd or his team were involved in any attempt to boost the song’s numbers. Kalshi has said it is investigating the matter.

Scary Movie 6 returned after more than a decade, and the gamble paid off at the box office. The sixth installment debuted to $55 million domestically, the best opening weekend in the series' history, and went on to gross over $215 million worldwide as of late June.

Ahead of the movie's June 5 theatrical release, Wayans Bros. Entertainment launched a website called Subservient Ghostface, where you type a command and watch the masked killer carry it out on screen. It's a clever campaign that borrows directly from Burger King's famous Subservient Chicken stunt from 2004, swapping the chicken suit for the horror icon Ghostface from Scream.
