If you need further confirmation that Star Wars has taken over the world, look no further than this British weather report from Sian Welby, which is full of cheeky references to George Lucas’ celebrated sci-fi universe.

Feel free to check out the video above and count for yourself, but we caught a total of eight distinct Star Wars references in the 39-second clip. Impressive — most impressive.

Here’s the full rundown with the references highlighted in bold text:

0:06, 0:08 — If you Luke farther west, you will be seeing a glimmer of sunshine if you’re wookie.

0:12 — The force is strong, though, for Northern Scotland.

0:15 — And then tonight, the weather strikes back.

0:28, 0:30 — If you’re forced to awaken early tomorrow morning it will be on the dark side.

0:35, 0:37 — Far, far away, towards the Southeast of England, there’s a new hope for some sunshine developing in the afternoon.

What’s great about this video is that all of the references fit seamlessly into this actual weather report. Clearly, some real thought went into the scripting of this segment and it has payed off to the tune of 2.3 million YouTube views.

The fact that this report comes out of the U.K. is also a reminder of just how global a phenomenon Star Wars is. We reported yesterday that The Force Awakens posted the biggest single-day box-office haul of all-time in the United Kingdom/Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, New Zealand, Finland, Netherlands, Ukraine, Slovakia, Croatia, Iceland, Serbia, Switzerland, Chile, and Peru. In total, it raked in $72.7 million at the international box-office in its first day in theaters and it has yet to debut in several, major markets, including India and China.

Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens stars John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren). The film is currently showing in theaters in the U.S. and around the world.
