Logitech Cordless Desktop Express Review

Quote from the review:

“I came through at the end with mixed feelings about this setup. While the keyboard and mouse both appealed to me on an aesthetic-level, what with their nice stylings and limited use of desktop real-estate, they had a few flaws that can’t be ignored. For the keyboard, the new layout may take sometime to get used to, but of somewhat more importance was the slightly sluggish response I noted sometimes. For the mouse, the reduced refresh rate can be a minor annoyance as well. While I can’t recommend this set to anyone who absolutely *must* have the most out of their keyboard and mouse (for them, Logitech has other options available), I can recommend it to someone who just wants a plain-and-simple cordless setup that’s easy to use and doesn’t want to be hassled by extra unnecessary features.”

MSI Claw slammed as ‘impossible to recommend’ in early review
Assassin's Creed Mirage on the MSI Claw handheld.

The new MSI Claw handheld isn't off to a great start. Still, a handful of YouTubers have gotten their hands on the device -- and the early impressions aren't promising.

ReSpec is a bit different this week. I’ve spent the week in sunny San Francisco at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), running from meeting to meeting and trying to find a moment of time to write a few words.

Instead of a normal column, we decided to post a sampling of entries from the newly launched ReSpec newsletter covering what I saw at GDC this week. If you want this same newsletter delivered to your inbox each week, sign up now and get in on the exclusive content.

The back of the Surface Pro 9, with the kickstand pulled out.

The 2-in-1 form factor has certainly come into its own over the last several years. There's really no reason to limit yourself to a clamshell, as there's a 2-in-1 that will meet the needs of all but the most demanding users in terms of sheer performance.

We've reviewed every great 2-in-1 you can buy, including Chromebooks, convertibles, and powerful 16-inch versions. The overall best 2-in-1 at the moment is the Microsoft Surface Pro 9, with its fantastic keyboard that's as easy to remove as it is to type on, a 120Hz display, and a haptic-enabled pen. It's almost as good a laptop as it is a tablet, which is what makes it the best overall 2-in-1.
