Logitech today announced the release of the harmonious sounding ‘Fusion’ as the latest member of the QuickCam family of webcams.
Ushered in with a price tag of $99.99 MSRP, the QuickCam Fusion has been bolstered with a true 1.3 megapixel sensor, Logitech’s ‘RightLight’ and ‘RightSound’ technologies and Logitech’s new ‘Video Effects’ software, all hoping to make the Fusion a gold blend in itself.
With Logitech’s expectations of the hardware and software blended ‘Fusion’ being high, a number of points of interest to be noted are improved video performance and clear, echo-free audio, which Logitech hope will make the ‘Fusion’ a new benchmark for consumer webcam performance.
Expected to be available this month, we shall see whether ‘Fusion’ really does live up to its name.
