The future is not looking good for the mutants of the world, as we see in this new trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Peter Dinklage may be the only lovable Lannister in Game of Thrones, but he’s the mutant-hating, Sentinel-inventing Bolivar Trask 20th Century Fox’s return to Marvel Comics, and you get your clearest peek yet at his creations in action here.

Days of Future Past sees X-Men and X2: X-Men United director Bryan Singer return to the series for the first time in more than a decade. The movie combines the Marvel mutant universe as Singer envisioned it with the one that director Matthew Vaughn ushered into being in his 2011 take, X-Men: First Class. Key cast members from both appear in Days thanks to a time-twisting plot in which the mutants of the present travel to the past in order to save the future. Or something like that.

We’ll find out soon. X-Men: Days of Future Past is in theaters on May 23.

XDefiant Twitch drops: rewards list and how to redeem them
A character in XDefiant

Ubisoft is giving XDefiant a big push for its full release. Not only is this a completely free shooter with full cross-platform support, but the team is dishing out free rewards for anyone who tunes in to Twitch streams of the game over the next six weeks. That's a lot of potential rewards, but you need to know what streams to tune into and how you can claim those drops. We'll also give you a rundown of each reward you can get week by week to make sure you don't miss out on your next favorite gun skin.
How to redeem XDefiant Twitch drops
Starting at 9 a.m. PT on May 21, Ubisoft will begin hosting the first XDefiant stream called the All-Star Series. After this initial stream, rewards will be given out each week on any XDefiant stream you decide to watch.

You can earn three rewards every week for the first six weeks of XDefiant's launch. The first unlocks after watching for 30 minutes, the second after 1 hour, and the final reward for 1 hour and 30 minutes of total watch time that week. To redeem the rewards, you need to first make sure your Twitch account is linked to your Ubisoft account.

The Witcher 3 REDkit is out and it makes modding easier than ever
Geralt from The Witcher 3 and his horse Roach.

Modders got some good news on Tuesday with the release of The Witcher 3 REDkit, a free tool that Witcher developer CD Projekt Red says will allow people to edit "almost everything within the game."

REDkit was developed mainly by Yigsoft, a developer that's worked alongside CD Projekt Red on The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. According to a blog post, the tool is similar to ones used to create The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (although REDkit's store page notes that "achieving the full scope of development akin to the original creators may require access to external tools"). The post also says that more tutorials and documentation will be unveiled soon, but people who want to hop in immediately can do so. The REDkit is now free to download on Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store.

You’re going to want a great Xbox headset for Hellblade 2. Try this one
A Turtle Beach Stealth 600 sits in front of a green background.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is finally here, giving Xbox Series X owners the system's most impressive technical feat to date. The dark sequel is getting some mixed reviews due to its limited gameplay, but most reviewers seem to agree that its visuals are astonishing. It's biggest highlight, though, is its audio -- which should come as no surprise if you're familiar with the first game. When the makers of Hellblade 2 recommend you put on some headphones to play it, that's not something to be taken lightly. You're going to want a great audio solution for this one.

Like the first game, Hellblade 2 makes serious use of binaural audio to represent its protagonist's mental state. Senua is living with psychosis and constantly hears voices in her head that tear her in different directions. That's reflected in the audio design, as voices ping on all sides to disorient players. While 3D audio on the PlayStation 5 has been hyped up as one of its defining features this generation, Hellblade 2 gives Xbox Series X the most convincing use of that tech yet.
