Verizon Now Selling XV6800 Smartphone

Eager fans of Verizon’s XV6700 smartphone have been waiting a long time—almost a year—but today Verizon Wireless finally announced it is offering the updated XV6800 smartphone. Also known as the HTC Titan, the XV6800 features Windows Mobile 6, a 2.8-inch 340 by 320 pixel touch screen display, integrated Wi-Fi wireless networking, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD-based expandable storage, and—best of all for those mobile professionals who can’t wait to sync back with the office—a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to handle messaging needs.

Verizon is offering the XV6800 for sale online now, with availability in Verizon Wireless retail locations scheduled for December 5. Verizon says the phone is priced at $499 online after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new customer agreement, although Verizon Wireless’s Web site is currently offering a $100 rebate, bringing the price down to $399.

The XV6800 can latch into Verizon’s EVDO data network for high-speed mobile communications, and act as a cellular modem for a compatible notebook computer. Of course, Windows Mobile 6 means the device comes with mobile versions of Microsoft’s mainstream productivity applications, plus Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player 10. Verizon is offering the XV6800 to both consumers and to corporations and enterprises through its business sales group.

I’m not a gamer, but I like gaming phones for the fact that they push mobile hardware to its limits. The Nubia RedMagic 9 Pro is no different.

In fact, in my one week with the phone, it has surprised me in the best ways possible. I like having a unique element for the devices I’m using, and the latest RedMagic phone has a handful of them.
The non-intrusive design is brilliant

Fios TV Package

For the longest time, all internet was run along the same copper cables that we've been using for our phone lines, and while that was revolutionary for the time, there is a limit to how fast they can go, which poses a problem. Luckily, the future is here in the form of fiber optic internet, which is a lot faster than copper. How much faster? Well, fiber lines can theoretically go up to several gigabytes a second, which completely blows out the internet speeds of yesteryear and is perfect for those who consume a lot of content online, especially at higher resolutions.

That said, fiber optic cables are not available everywhere, but if you're in a place where Verizon has deployed fiber optic cables, you can take advantage of these higher speeds from today. Luckily, you can easily right now to know whether you qualify for the higher speeds or not. If you do, we've collected all the Fios internet subscriptions and all the benefits available for new members.
