What Happened: So, you know that “Priority notifications” feature that was spotted last week? The one that was just a dead button? Well, a new leaked version of One UI 8.5 has just surfaced, and this time, the feature actually works!

  • And it’s pretty much what it sounds like. It finds the alerts that are actually important and floats them right to the top, above all the other random junk. The little description says it’ll make sure “you don’t miss them.”
  • You’ll be able to go into your settings and toggle it on or off for each app, so you can decide what’s “important” to you.
  • Samsung‘s also making a point to say that all this sorting happens right on your phone, not on a server, which is great for privacy.

Why This Is a Big Deal: This is a bigger deal than it might sound. Let’s be real, our notification panels are a complete disaster most of the time.

  • It’s so easy to miss an important text from a friend or a work alert because it’s buried under 15 different game notifications and app updates.
  • This new system is designed to fix that. It apparently makes the important alerts glow and stand out with a cool “AI-inspired” look, visually separating the must-sees from the “meh.”
  • It’s just another sign that Samsung is trying to weave that smart, Galaxy AI vibe into every corner of the phone.

Why Should I Care: So, what’s in it for you? If you live and die by your phone’s notifications, this is going to make your day a lot less chaotic.

  • You’ll spend less time digging through clutter just to find the one message you actually needed.
  • And that “on-device” part is a nice bonus – it just means it’s not sending your notification content to some random server, which is a good thing for privacy.

What’s Next: So, when can you get this? Samsung hasn’t even officially started the One UI 8.5 beta test yet (it seems to be running late).

  • But, this feature is almost guaranteed to be a highlight when the new Galaxy S26 phones launch in early 2026.
  • After that, it should roll out to all the other compatible Galaxy phones as part of the big update.

The Razr Fold now gets along better with iPhones thanks to AirDrop
Motorola's first foldable learns a new trick, and I guess I'm ready to daily drive it now
Electronics, Speaker, Electrical Device

I already had more reasons than expected to keep the Motorola Razr Fold around. While reviewing it, the company's first foldable genuinely surprised me with its level of polish. A practical outer display, great cameras, strong battery life, and a gorgeous folding screen. All of this made me want to switch to this device as my primary phone.

Now Motorola has added one more reason, and it's just sweetening the deal for me. The Motorola Razr Fold now supports AirDrop-style sharing through Android’s Quick Share, making it the first Motorola phone to get the feature. That means Razr Fold users can share files directly with Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs without relying on cloud links, messaging apps, USB cables, or the usual cross-platform nonsense.
