Patranya Bhoolsuwan is an Emmy Award-winning reporter and anchor at 8 News NOW at KLAS-TV in Las Vegas. She has been recognized as "Best Reporter in Las Vegas" by the Nevada Broadcasters Association.

Prior to joining the 8 News NOW news team, Patranya worked in the nation's capital local CBS affiliate WUSA. Before WUSA, Patranya worked as an anchor and reporter for the ABC affiliate in Redding, Calif., and the CBS affiliate in Reno, Nev. Her work at KTVN in Reno earned her two Emmy Awards, two years in a row.

Patranya began her career as a writer and producer at KRON-TV in San Francisco. She graduated with honors from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Journalism and Political Science. She is active in the Asian American Journalists Association and helps mentor young journalists of color. She has also served as an adjunct journalism instructor at the College of Southern Nevada.

Patranya was born in Bangkok, Thailand and is fluent in Thai. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, and obsessively listening to NPR.
