Amazon discounts Ring video doorbells by up to 52% off for Cyber Week

Add as a preferred source on Google

Installing a security camera to your front door is a great way to easily know if somebody’s out there or if there’s a delivery waiting for you. If you find it a little too over the top, however, going for a video doorbell is a nice alternative. Ring’s Video Doorbell 2 and Video Doorbell Pro are some of the best options on the market, and they’re discounted on Amazon right now for as much as 52% off. Add extra security to your doorstep by taking advantage of these Cyber Week deals.

The Ring Video Doorbell 2 operates on a battery, but it can also be hooked up to an existing doorbell wiring. The included rechargeable battery pack connects to a power source via a mini USB cable, but you’ll need to find your own power adapter. Ring estimates a single full charge to take a few hours and will last between six months and a year.

Setting up the doorbell can be easily done with any iOS or Android device. When someone pressed the doorbell button, it will send a real-time notification to your phone and will activate a shrill chime from its speaker. It will also begin recording a Full HD 1080p video when the motion detector senses a movement. You can easily adjust the sensitivity level to tweak motion zones and minimize false alerts. Alerts can also be disabled or scheduled.

With versatile configuration, simple installation, and convenient app control, the Ring Video Doorbell 2 is definitely a great first line of defense in your home. Don’t miss the chance to score this smart video doorbell for only $129 instead of its usual $199 price tag. You can also get it bundled with an Echo Show 5 for a massive 52% off, or at a discounted price of $139.

With the Video Doorbell Pro, Ring expands upon the functionalities of the original Video Doorbell to deliver a more premium performance. It’s 20% slimmer than the Video Doorbell 2, but the tradeoff for this more compact design is that it requires an existing doorbell wiring to operate. It also looks less like an intercom and will blend in nicely next to your front door.

When it comes to imaging capacities, the Pro model is a beast. Its Full HD 1080p camera has a 160 x 100-degree field of view which is enough to cover an entire entryway. Images look crisp even within 10 feet of the lens, whether it be for daytime or nighttime. When it detects activity, you’ll be able to receive notifications on your smartphone. There are settings available which let you select preferences for receiving push notifications for motion detection or when someone rings the doorbell. You can also set up motion zones, allowing the camera to ignore certain spots and focus on designated areas of the field of view.

A true smart doorbell, the Video Doorbell Pro works with Alexa. Users can activate a skill which displays the camera image on a compatible Alexa-enabled display such as a Fire TV or Echo Show. For times when you can’t go to the door, you can easily answer via the Echo Show.

Incorporate a stylish and functional virtual welcome mat into your home by purchasing the Ring Video Doorbell Pro bundle. It’s only $229 on Amazon for Cyber Week.

Apple Home AI features come with a hidden price tag
Your cameras just got smarter, but so did Apple's upsell game.
Apple Home

I previously covered the new Apple Home AI features revealed at WWDC 2026, which include several quality-of-life improvements, including auto-updating notifications, smarter camera search, automatic tracking and stitching of multiple videos for a single event, and higher-resolution recordings, among others.

Like many Apple Home features, these features are only available to iCloud+ customers. However, at the event, Apple didn’t notify which plans will get access to these features. Today, we get the answer in the release notes of macOS Golden Gate beta 3, and you are not going to like it.

Apple did it first. Amazon is doing it now, starting with 40 million chips a year and a partner most people have never heard of.

Apple's decision to design its own chips reshaped the consumer electronics industry. Amazon may be about to make the same call, just about two decades later.

Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that Amazon is preparing to shift away from externally sourced processors for its consumer electronics lineup, marking what he describes as the company's first major processor procurement change in 20 years. The transition is expected to begin in 2027.
