Aperion Audio has announced its new Intimus 4T Tower Speakers, the latest addition to its redesigned Intimus line of home speakers, the 4T’s are designed to function on their own or in conjunction with Aperion’s 4B bookshelf speakers, and offer dual 4-inch fiberglass drivers combined with an audiophile-grade 1-inch silk dome tweeter. The 4T’s slim design means they’re easy to install and set up in almost any room, making them a flexible, high-performance speaker solution with a compact footprint.

“Customers asked for small, high performance tower speakers for their new flat panel TV’s because the options are incredibly limited,” said Aperion Audio CEO Winthrop Jeanfreau, in a statement. “People are forced to choose between low-end home theater in a box products or very expensive specialty speakers. We believe the 4T’s are a category killer. They offer all the performance of the specialty brands at less than half the cost, so they are a tremendous value.”

The 4T’s are available in black or cherry finishes, and feature weoven fiberglass, magnetically-shielded drivers with a heady rubber surround and extra-long excursion for strong bass response. The 1-inch tweeter features a unique venting system with a rear chamber that uses multiple rear vents outside the neodymium magnet instead of a single cent at the center of the magnet, offers a smoother, distortion-free sound even at high volume levels. The cabinets are built using high-density fiberboard to reduce unwanted vibration and mute the walls of the speakers.

The Intimus 4T Tower Speakers are available now for $650 per pair.
