DeLonghi Portable Air Conditioner

While there certainly isn’t anything wrong with the old school, oscillating fan on a stand to keep your summer digs cool, there’s certainly something right about a portable air conditioner that packs some serious style factor – plus so much more. The DeLonghi Portable Air Conditioner more than fits the bill with a sleek, sophisticated design in a polished silver that will compliment just about any décor in your house. It features 11,000-BTU capacity to put the chill on blast during steamy summer days, yet flips to double-duty with a 60-pint dehumidifier to keep air cool and comfortable well into winter months.

If that’s not enough, the air conditioner also boasts a 3M Filtrete air filter (specifically designed to attract and collect pollen, dust, etc.) to not just keep temperatures at bay but purify the air you breathe as well. Designed and engineered in notoriously fashionable Italy, the unit features a variety of clever design details, from a slick electronic control panel that features soft-touch keys and an LED display, to a 24-hour programmable timer that can be set to beat the heat before you hit your favorite chair.

Three different fan modes (boost, sleep and smart) plus motorized air-distribution louvers and adjustable humidistat further add to the control, giving gadget guys (and girls) one smart, sophisticated cooling, humidifying and purifying solution in a single, fashionable box. In addition, it has high-efficiency internal components and compression technology for peacefully quiet operation. One click and you’ll barely notice it’s running – quite a difference from traditional air conditioners and fans.

What’s particularly interesting is the built-in pump system, which draws the humidifier’s condensed water up and out the window through a tiny hose, eliminating the need to empty any buckets or compartments. At roughly 90 lbs and measuring 16-1/7 by 19 ½ by 37 inches, it can be carried and stowed easily, or conveniently wheeled around your home or office on its solid, well made wheels. If this isn’t enough, it’s designed to run energy efficient and of course, features an LCD remote control so that you can chill without having to get up from bed or your favorite recliner. At $750, it certainly isn’t inexpensive, but for the price, it gives powerful air conditioning plus so much more. You can pick up the DeLonghi PAC T110P Pinguino All-in-One A/C at Amazon.com.

Why you should buy the BLUETTI AC240 all-weather portable power station

Imagine for a moment that you're camping with your family, hiking through the great outdoors, or even taking a long, scenic road trip through the countryside. In all of these situations, even when you're off-grid, you'll still need reliable access to power to charge your phone and tablet(s) and power up other electronics -- like a coffee maker when you wake up in the morning. Of course, power stations and power outlets don't exist randomly out in the wild. You could use your vehicle, but that will drain the battery and, in some cases, still won't provide enough power for what you want to do. Cue the BLUETTI AC240 portable power station and devices like it.

Have an air fryer? Check if it’s part of this safety recall
An Insignia air fryer.

Best Buy has issued a recall notice for just over 187,000 Insignia-branded air fryers sold in the U.S. and an additional 100,000 units sold in Canada.

The China-made air fryers can overheat, causing the handles to melt or break, posing fire and burn hazards, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said on its website on Thursday. The commission added that the overheating can also cause the glass on the machine's door to shatter, risking fire, burn, and laceration injuries.
