If you’ve ever cut a summer run short because the heat felt unbearable, you’re definitely not alone. Runna, the top-rated running coach app, found that 80% of its users skip or adjust their runs because of hot weather. To fix that problem, the company just launched a new feature called “Adapt for Heat”, and it’s the update summer runners have been asking for.

How does Adapt for Heat help your summer runs?

Running in the summer is tough. It can be hard to know whether to stick to your training plan or scale back to avoid injury or serious heat-related illnesses like heat stroke. Runna wants to change that with its new feature. Instead of guessing how much you should slow down on a scorching day, Adapt for Heat does the math for you.

The feature takes your local temperature and humidity into account and then automatically adjusts your pace targets so you still get the same training benefit, just at a safer and smarter pace. It even shows a color-coded hourly forecast, so you know exactly when your run will be bearable, or when it’s smarter to just stay indoors a little longer.

What else is coming to the app this summer?

Adapt for Heat is going live starting today, with two new features arriving in August. Upcoming Plans lets you schedule multiple training blocks in advance, so your entire year, from your next 5k to that ultramarathon you keep talking about, is mapped out in one place.

Then there’s the revamped Post-Race Recovery Plan, which automatically builds a recovery schedule the moment you sign up for a 5k or 50k race plan. No more guessing how to ease back into running after crossing the finish line.

Runna Head Coach Steph Kessell explained the reasoning behind these changes. “Recovery is also a key part of everyone’s running journey to prevent plateaus in training and reduce burnout or injury risk,” she said, “which is why we build it into every plan from day one.”

Together, these updates prove Runna is thinking about running in a strategic way. It’s not just about helping you train for your next marathon. It’s about helping you build a healthy running habit that lasts a lifetime. Whether you’re trying to survive a heat wave or figure out what comes next after your big race, the app has your training covered.

Qualcomm confirms incoming price hike, and rising memory cost isn’t the only driving factor
CEO Cristiano Amon says the increase, effective September 1, is meant to offset broader supply chain costs, including wafer fabrication, packaging, and testing.

If you were hoping your next Android phone might come with a friendlier price tag, you may want to temper your expectations. Qualcomm just confirmed it's raising chip prices starting September 1, and CEO Cristiano Amon didn't dress up the reason. "Cost went up, prices are going to go up," he told CNBC. Qualcomm chips power a huge share of the world's Android phones, so a hike at the source is likely to reach store shelves eventually.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra: Everything we know
Though it will feature improvements across the board, the memory crisis might not spare Samsung’s Fold 8 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is not the phone that reimagines what a foldable looks like. That job belongs to its sibling, the wider-screen Galaxy Z Fold 8; the Ultra is the direct successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 instead. It carries forward the same tall, narrow design and the same book-style proportions, for the same audience.

If you've used a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold in the past and think that the shape is perfect for you, the Fold 8 Ultra is exactly the right phone for you. It has a sharper inner display, a substantially larger battery, faster charging, and Samsung's new Flex Titanium display structure, which is designed to minimize the crease that has troubled Samsung's foldables for years.

Google’s priciest Pixel 11 may bring a smaller battery and a bigger bill
Google’s next Pro Pixels may turn “less for more” into a flagship feature

Google’s next flagship phones may ask buyers to accept two changes that rarely sit well together: smaller batteries and higher starting prices. Reliable leaker Roland Quandt claims the Pixel 11 Pro will carry a 4,850mAh battery, while the larger Pixel 11 Pro XL will offer 5,115mAh. The same leak puts their UK prices at £1,079 and £1,279, respectively, for models with 256GB of storage. Google has yet to confirm any of these figures, with the Pixel 11 launch scheduled for August 12.
